About the registry

A registry, not a results service.

Results Ledger maintains a permanent register of sanctioned competitive results in international combat sports. Each entry is held against its published rule-set, its sanctioning body, and its date of record.

What the Ledger is

Results Ledger is an independent registry of competitive results that have been entered into the international sanctioning record. The unit of record is the result — a competitive bout or contest decided under a published rule-set, sanctioned by a federation or governing body, and recorded in the sanctioning body's own publication. Entries are not aggregated across sanctioning bodies into composite ranking; each result is held against the issuing body's own framework.

The Ledger does not produce performance commentary, does not project rankings, and does not editorialize on the merits of one ruleset over another. Where a result has been disputed at the sanctioning level, the dispute and its resolution are recorded as separate adjacent entries; the underlying result remains as it was originally entered.

What the Ledger is not

Not a news service, not a fight-prediction publication, not a rankings system. The Ledger does not run advertising, does not enter syndication arrangements with results aggregators, and does not solicit donations. Operational costs are absorbed by the editorial office. There is no commercial relationship with athletes, gyms, federations or sanctioning bodies whose results appear in the registry.

Editorial posture

The Ledger's working voice is administrative and dated. A result is reported with the sanctioning body, the event, the weight class, the bracket placement, the rule-set under which the bout was contested, and the date of record. Where downstream actors have transmitted a result in distorted form — surfacing the wrong sanctioning body, misattributing a junior-circuit result to a senior-circuit federation, or conflating commercial-promotion titles with sanctioning-body titles — the Ledger publishes a contemporary correction record.

Independence

Results Ledger operates independently of any sanctioning body, federation, promotion, gym network, athlete-management entity or media-rights holder. Inquiries about the registry's standards or the correction procedure are received at the address listed in Methodology → Contact.
